William “Bart” Bartholomew
Bart is a former United States Marine Corps veteran and competitive shooter as well as a retired Baltimore County SWAT Sniper Team Leader. Bart has over 48 years of long rifle experience, with 20 of those years being an operational Counter Sniper.
Bart is well recognized in the sniper community with some of his past accomplishments being the founder and coordinator of the Baltimore County Counter Sniper school for 16 years training Federal, State, Local as well as Military organizations, past director and coordinator for 13 years for I.C.S.T.C which is an annual week-long event consisting of 30 competitive sniper team elements. After retirement, Bart served as Program Manager/Lead Instructor for Counter Sniper Tactics to clients in the Global War on Terror both CONUS/OCONUS for the United States Government DOD. He was Range Designer and past Director of Training for Whitefeather Precision Shooting and is currently the lead instructor at the Bergara Academy BPI in Belt Montana and Bergara BPI. He is the past recipient of the prestigious Carlos Hathcock Jr. Award given by the NDIA which is given to one individual annually in the Law Enforcement or Military Sniper Community for their significant contributions to operational employment and tactics of small arms weapons systems which have impacted the readiness and capabilities of the United States military or law enforcement. A significant contribution is considered to be a superior performance of duties in an operational environment or the development
